What I Believe

My faith journey begin almost from birth.  I was raised in church where I learned all the children's bible stories.  At the age of 9 while attending Vacation Bible School I made a profession of faith. Yet as a teen and young adult I took a detour away from my walk with Christ.  For years I stumbled my way through the next years.  However, I serve a mighty God of second chances and He reached out to call me into His service.  I still stand amazed that He would choose to use me.  As I have walked this path I have had many stumbles and even a few falls but I am so thankful that I serve a Merciful Savior that loves me and allows me to be a part of His story.{You can read my full testimony, here and here}

• I believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
• I believe that the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments were given by inspiration of God and that they only constitute the divine rule of Christian faith and practice.
• I believe in Jesus Christ, the Second Person of the Triune Godhead; that He was eternally one with the Father; that He became incarnate by the Holy Spirit and was born of the Virgin Mary.
• I believe that the Lord Jesus Christ has by, His suffering and death, made an atonement for the whole world so that whosoever will may be saved.
• I believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins, that He truly arose from the dead, ascended into heaven and is there engaged in intercession for us.
• I believe that our Lord will return, the dead will be raised, and the final judgment will take place.
